My name is Julie Gibson and I am the owner of Ice Maiden Cakes. I first developed a love of baking aged around 5 when I started spending time with my Nan in the kitchen. She was always singing that old song ‘If I’d known you were coming I’d have baked a cake….’ and the song still makes me smile now. She always had something fresh from the oven ready for us when we visited every weekend. The love of baking that she instilled in me has stayed with me along with some of her best recipes!
After I started a family of my own, over eight years ago now, I discovered a talent for cake decorating and Ice Maiden Cakes was born. My Nan’s house was the heart of our family and we were all shown bucket loads of love through her baking. Now I can pass on some of that love, care and attention in my own creations.
Here at Ice Maiden Cakes we specialise in fun, contemporary celebration cakes which not only look fantastic but taste great too. After all, what’s more important about a cake than how it tastes! Each order is custom made after consultation with you, enabling us to cater for your individual needs and dietary requirements and ensuring the end result is uniquely yours.
