We were really pleased to be asked to make the ‘birthday’ cakes to mark the 10th anniversary of the Ariel Atom, another fabulous Somerset creation! As the cakes were to be served as dessert for the 120 guests we decided that table centre cakes would be the best option. The design was based on the 10th anniversary logo and all of the detail was hand piped, modelled and painted – 12 times!
To give the guests some choice the cakes were made from two interlocking round cakes – one in chocolate fudge and the other in madagascan vanilla sponge with a cherry conserve and cherry brandy buttercream filling.
