Welcome to a new regular feature for the blog – The Thursday Theme! Each week I will be picking a subject and providing a little inspiration in the form of related cake ideas. I’ll be keeping the posts largely pictorial with lots of lovely cakes from talented decorators across the globe. I would like this feature to be useful to our readers so if there is a topic you would like me to cover then just leave a comment below or send an email to julie@icemaidencakes.com Equally, if you find a cake you love or have a photo of one you have made then send me a link and I’ll see if we can’t build a theme around it!
So, to kick off, this week’s theme is rather self-indulgent! We recently lost our lovely German Shepherd Dog, Jess, who had reached the grand old age of twelve and a quarter. She was noisy and smelly but we loved her very much and she is sorely missed – so this week’s theme will be dogs. If you have a celebration coming up for someone who is a dog lover then hopefully you will find some inspiration here!
