Ingredients
  

  • 1/3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Mini chocolate chips
  • 3 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Mix ingredients
    In a medium bowl, whisk together 1½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Set this texture to the other side.
    In a large bowl, you use an electric mixture to cream ½ cup butter and ¾ cup granulated sugar. When this texture becomes light and fluffy, you can stop. This step takes about 3-4 minutes.

  • Step 2: Add the wet ingredients
    You add 1 cup of ricotta cheese to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until combined. Now, add 3 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each egg. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract can be stirred when everything is mixed.
    After that, you combine wet and dry ingredients and mix them on low speed. Note that overmixing will make the cake dense.

  • Step 3: Fill chocolate chips
    You use a rubber spatula to mix in 1 cup of mini chocolate chips, working to distribute them evenly throughout the batter.

  • Step 4: Bake and cool the ricotta chocolate chip cake
    You pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and use a spatula to smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out either clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
    Let the chocolate chip ricotta dessert cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and transfer it to a cooling rack to cool completely.
