The Chocolate Peanut Butter Whoopie Pies are one of my favorite breakfast treats. These soft and moist chocolate cakes, filled with delicious peanut butter cream, are unlike any other whoopie pies out there. The Peanut butter whoopie pie filling is easy to make and delicious any time of the day.
For socola cakeStep 1: Mix baking ingredientsFirst, mix the vegetable shortening and granulated sugar until well combined. Then, add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture. In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix the dry ingredients. Once ready, combine them with milk, warm water, and espresso powder into the main mixture. The batter should be light, fluffy, and not too thick.Step 2: Bake chocolate cakeYou need to bake the chocolate cake for 12-14 minutes at 375ºF. Once done, let cool on a wire cooling rack, Prepare peanut butter frosting while waiting
For peanut butter ice creamStep 1: Beat melted butter and peanut butterYou need to beat the melted butter and peanut butter in a bowl until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Mix the unsalted butter and peanut butter together, then add the vanilla extract, followed by the sifted powdered sugar. The resulting mixture will be thick and smooth.Step 2: Cream peanut butter and finish Whoopie PiesContinue whipping for 1 or 2 minutes to create lots of air bubbles. The fluffier the cream, the better. Once the cake has cooled, you can squeeze or spread peanut butter cream onto the flat surface of the chocolate cake.
