Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1/4 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or oil
  • 1 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 11 egg (optional)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Add moisture to cake batter
Instead of simply mixing the wet ingredients, gently heat the milk and honey together in a small saucepan until the honey dissolves and the mixture is warm but not boiling. This will infuse the batter with a deeper honey flavor and create a more comforting aroma

If you want to add flavor to the cake: chocolate, almond, banana, etc., add it to the cake before putting it in the microwave.
    Add a Touch of Crunch
  • Step 5: Put your mixture in the microwave
Carefully place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for about 60-90 seconds, or until the cake is set around the edges but still slightly soft in the center. Keep a close eye on it, as cooking times can vary. Let your mug cake cool for a minute or two, then top with a drizzle of honey or a dollop of Greek yogurt.
